City in General
Located in the Southern tip of Carrick, Finton Hollow was one of the first cities established in Inis Eagal. It is settled along the shoreline of the Caradoc Ocean. It has a small city center, two ports, three formal neighborhoods and large sweeping expanses of farmlands, woodlands and fields. Sheep roam freely in and out of the city. Its roads are mostly dirt and cobblestone lined by small shops and farms. The sounds of horse’s harness bells on the carriage taxi cabs are an ever present sound. Its population is about 46,000.

Portside Market
Located in the Cat's Claw's City Port Area, this large open-air market is a busy spot with many businesses, street performers and vendors of all kinds. This is where locals come to buy everything from food to fabric to gifts and horse supplies. A bit of gossip can usually be had as well.

Brogan Street & City Port
This street is one block south of the city port. It is home to many of the low income folks who rent rooms over the shops and also is a high crime area. The shops are of lower quality, but not as low as those resales shops in MacTavish Alley. This is also the street that leads directly to the city port from the city center as well as one of the two train stops.

Boardwalk
This relatively new boardwalk was built ten years ago. It covers the perimeter of the city's center, extending out to the wooded areas South of the city and wrapping around near the port. It is very common to see people running or strolling its fourteen mile circumference. It also weaves through small city parks were some darker business is known to occur.

Dion Fortune Hospital
Located close to the city's center, this brick three story hospital is not ready for any major catastrophes. Many people still see local healers. The hospital's Northwest Wing caters to the wealthy of Cat's Claw. The rest stay stay in the general ward at the east side of the hospital.

MacTavish Alley
This is an area in the city were most respectable people avoid. Dark little shops, dangerous pubs and small, dingy diners are found here. The Dark Door Cantina is found here. It is a rank little strip club that is well-know even into London. It attracks both the pureblood wealthy as well as the more unsavory sorts through its doors.

The Dancing Banshee
This is new nightclub that recently opened near the Port. It is a large and eccentric club owned by Crimbils and the only nightclub in town. Many of the older local folk hate this place. A painting of a screaming banshee greets each visitor who enters the dim, multilevel club. Portraits of dancing banshees line the walls. Light shows, live bands, a long mahogany bar and spacious dance areas on the first floor. The second floor is a wrap around balcony with tables and chairs that look down onto the dance floor. The third floor has private rooms for use during club hours only and for a fee. The club is open from 6pm -4am, seven days a week.

Dark Door Cantina
The Dark Door Cantina is located in the notorious MacTavish Alley. There are no signs, no advertisements. You have to know where to find it. You must be willing to spend money. This a dark club of hard drinks, gambling and strippers and the like. It is one of the gathering places that few talk about going into.

Dorsnickle's Tea and Toast
This little building is in the middle of the shopping center. It is tall and narrow with exposed beams inside and neat little tables with crisp tableclothes printed with tiny colorful dragons. A huge(but not life-size, thank Merlin) replica of a Romanian Ridgetail is displayed overhead. It flies about and perches in the rafters, gazing down at the customers. The store boasts 86 tea flavors and 47 kinds of toast. They are quite popular in the town, especially at this time of year.

Hotel Plaza
This upscale plaza is closer to Hawthorne Circle. It is home to old and reputable shops and boutiques as well as upscale hotels. They have everything you can imagine and some things you haven't even thought of yet, but be prepared to pay the price. Things don't come cheap here.

Tasty Cakes
This bakery owned by Nicky St James is a short walk from the city's port. It sells pastry and the new modern drink: coffee. Folks are mixed about the coffee, but Nicky is a St James, so people do give her their business.

Hoboken Mountains
These beautiful mountains are a short hike from the city and have long and winding, well-trodden paths that lead to some spectacular peaks. They are a big tourist attraction though there are always stories about the Mugorulo- a huge, green-haired beast that only eats the non-Irish.

Shattered Glass Lake
This lake is rarely seen still. There are always silvery ripples running across its surface. Some say that strange creatures live within its deep, dark depths. It is located in a tree covered field not far from the Padfoot Forest. Swim at your own risk.

Dead Man's Cove
Located near the caves in a now uninhabited part of town, Dead Man's Cove is a rocky and dark sea cove where it is basically suicide to try to navigate a ship out of. Criminals still try to make escapes in small boats and many have died in the process. It is quite secluded here and rumors have it that darker wizards and other unsavory characters might be meeting here.

Padfoot Forest
Legend of the Padfoot: (aka: 'Black Shuck', 'Grim', and 'Shuck Dog') A fire-eyed spirit in the form of a great black dog, the size of a small calf. It is known to protect lone travelers or kill the unworthy. It is sometimes thought to be an omen of death. It becomes invisible at will and is quite at home in the forests and marshes of any world. The Padfoot is always completely silent. It surrounds the entire southern portion of the Hoboken mountains
